We are so excited you are travelling to Fort Mill, SC to celebrate with us. Adkins Nature Retreat includes the home and property which belonged to Whitley’s Dad and is a small section of the Crook Family Homestead belonging to Whitley’s Grandmother’s family, dating back to 1866. After being introduced by Whitley’s cousin and Ric’s friend, Kim Crook, it is on this property that Ric and Whitley’s friendship began when Whitley hired Ric to build her and outdoor shower at the farm like the beautiful one he built at Kim’s family beach home in Windy Hill Beach where Ric lives.

Ric and Whitley were married under the Waccamaw River Memorial Bridge in Conway, SC on June 7th, 2025 with the children alongside. Ric’s Grandfather was the foreman for the concrete company that build the bridge in 1937.
